Upon completion of the programme, students are expected to be able to:
1. Become familiar with knowledge and contemporary approaches to health, disease and their determinants, as well as prevention, health promotion, care and rehabilitation actions for individuals, families and population groups in the community
2. Are able to assess the health and care needs of individuals, families and population groups in the community
3. Become familiar with the concept of health risk, its assessment and the planning and implementation of health promotion and disease prevention actions in families
4. Apply theory to the design, implementation and evaluation of interventions in Primary Health Care
5. Become familiar with the concepts of clinical governance and management of health services and translate assessed health and care needs into health policies for Primary Health Care, public and community health

The program targets at nurses, doctors, psychologists, social workers, physiotherapists, health visitors and other health professionals who are interested in providing care in the community, in population groups and social care settings in the community as well as in schools.
Graduates will have several opportunities of employment in Primary Health Care settings, such as Health Centers, rural clinics, private and public home nursing settings and support centers for the elderly and other vulnerable groups. Equally, in refugee centers, and other primary health care institutions or autonomously.

The criteria and admission process of the program are defined in the General Student Regulations.
The program aims at nurses, doctors, psychologists, social workers, physiotherapists, health visitors, and other healthcare professionals interested in providing care in the community.
All candidates should hold a BSc Degree and a Certificate of English language knowledge.

All Distance Learning Programmes are offered using E-Learning methods. Therefore, students applying to enter DL Programmes, additionally to the academic requirements of each program, must have a good level of digital literacy:
The list of prerequisite digital literacy and equipment that the student should have available in order to participate and be an active member of the program include:
1. Access to reliable broadband internet
2. Computer with camera and microphone capacity
3. Smartphone
4. Ability to send and receive emails and files
5. Ability to operate within a web digital environment such as the learning platform
6. Ability to manage word processing, presentation, and other basic office application functions.

Students can graduate after the completion of 90 ECTS in the courses included in the Program Structure
A student can only graduate if his CGPA is greater than or equal to 5.00 out of 10.00.
Graduating students with GGPA less than 5.00 may be required to get additional courses or repeat a series of modules in order to improve their grades.
